COST: Admission is required to enter Grandfather Mountain. Admission rates: $20 for adults, $18 for seniors (60+), $9 for children and no charge for children under age four.
Can you drive up to Grandfather Mountain?
You drive your own vehicle up the two-mile road to the summit, stopping at overlooks, picnic areas and the Nature Museum as fits your own schedule. Shuttle service is available only to large groups traveling by bus.

There is no dispersed camping ( camping off a designated site) on the mountain. Please do not disturb nearby campers and care to protect the terrain and plant and animal life.
