How do passengers get to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain?
To reach the summit, passengers take two cable cars. The first ascends to the shorter Morro da Urca, 220 m (722 ft) high. The second car ascends to Pão de Açúcar. The Swiss-made bubble-shaped cars offer passengers 360° views of the surrounding city.

It’s an easy drive up to Mount Sugarloaf located in West Wallsend. Just follow George Booth Drive out until you reach Sugarloaf Road and follow it all the way to the top parking lot. It’s then a short but steep 10 minute walk up the path to reach the summit.
